I have been shooting Family Portraits of this family for several years now, , and every time I have even more fun with them. They are truly some of the sweetest, most supportive clients turned friends I have had the pleasure to meet. Dad is ALWAYS on board (and we all know how tough it is getting dad on board for photo sessions) and always has the GREATEST smiles. The boys, I’ve really gotten to know and love – chasing them around giving them tickles and squeezing in a few snuggles on our sessions. Mama – well she is just as beautiful inside as out. They are constantly sharing my posts, referring our work. I absolutely have grown to love them, and have so much fun on our adventures together.
For their family portraits this year, we went again to Heritage Park 🙂 We’ve been here before, it’s a great spot to let the kids run and play and still have a bit of the “woods” that I love to shoot in, without the crazy hike to my favourite creek.
My favourite part about our sessions is always daddy’s smile. Then, how much he loves up on mama. Ugh. It is SO ROMANTIC!! The kids are SO MUCH FUN! I have never had a dull moment with these two. This time around I took a few head butts to the ass. The little guy was almost knocked out haha I had to tell him there isn’t any cushion there anymore as he made impact with my tail bone. Mama and Daddy took a few good rams too. SO MANY LAUGHS. These boys really keep us all on our toes.
I don’t shoot families often, I get more inquiries for Boudoir than anything else – but when I do, I am reminded of when I first started, and how it was all about the kids back then. I love kids and babies (I mean, quite obviously, I had four of my own!) – and can not wait to be a grandma someday. Until then, I hope to book a few more family sessions and squeeze in all the snuggles I can get!
And I hope to have many, many more years with this amazing family. They are everything.
