Born and raised in Fort McMurray, I was about 18 when I first really caught the bug for photography. I had a new baby and a point-and-shoot camera, and was constantly taking pictures of her, or dressing my little sisters up in feather boas for "boudoir" pictures that were at least a lot of fun to take, but were so horribly bad. I even shot my uncle's wedding on that trusty point-and-shoot.

Then baby 3 came along and I REALLY got into photography then. I took her for newborn photos and fell in love with the process and thought that I, too, could be a newborn photographer. I bought drawers filled with hats and ribbons and cute little props - and then quickly decided newborn photography was not for me. As much as I love snuggling up on them, posing them felt so foreign to me, so I sold all of that at a loss and focused more on families, solo portraits, couple's and boudoir.

Boudoir is especially important to me, because it was doing a boudoir session myself, that finally gave me the confidence to leave a 9 year abusive marriage, and to file for divorce. 2 months later, I met the love of my life and the better half of Fox and Bird Photography, Albert. He not only helps to drive me to sessions, put props together, cut any wood I need for fire minis, and assists with any smoke grenade sessions for safety, but picks up the camera from time to time at our group shoots too and is INCREDIBLE at really everything he does, especially, being a partner and father. I couldn't do this without him.

I love to photograph families at ease. No posing, just natural interactions. I encourage you to think of something you love to do together, and pretend I'm not there. Those are the moments worth capturing.

Couples in love, parents with their children, grandparents and their grand-babies, people and their pets, I want to show the CONNECTIONS you have with one another, not poses. Even with Boudoir, it's often those moments between the poses that are the most beautiful.

Reach out today to schedule a session or with any questions. Looking forward to hearing from you. Take care <3
